Right now Alaskans need real leaders, not DC doormats
The 907 Initiative is an Alaska-based government watchdog working to help Alaskans understand how their elected leaders are working on our behalf.
Right now, Alaska’s congressional delegation is divided on key issues that directly affect Alaska families.
Senator Dan Sullivan is failing in his commitment to stand up for Alaska. When directly questioned on cuts to Medicaid, Medicare, and Social Security, Senator Sullivan didn’t answer. Instead, he talked about the need to kick more people off of these programs.
Senator Sullivan's support for tariffs directly harms the economic interests of Alaskans, more so than other states.. These tariffs make Alaskans poorer and prices higher. In a recent Senate vote, while Senator Lisa Murkowski joined a bipartisan effort to oppose these tariffs, recognizing their detrimental impact on Alaska's economy, Senator Sullivan followed the party line and voted in support of tariffs.
Senator Murkowski has demonstrated a willingness to challenge party lines to protect Alaskans' interests, actively opposing policies that could harm our state and advocating for the preservation of essential social programs, while Senator Sullivan has prioritized getting along in DC over the needs and concerns of Alaskans. The 907 Initiative is organizing Alaskans to tell Senator Sullivan to stand up for Alaska.
